Two day, one night, Hike Raft combo.
OPTION ONE: Hike down into Gorge where you see several unique Petroglyph sites. Continue hiking down to Camp on the Rio Grande River where rafts arrived earlier with comfortable camp gear and hearty meals. There are more beautiful Petroglyph sites near the river. Camp near spring fed creek with small picturesque swimming hole. Early morning launch through the spectacular gorge. Two class III rapids, several class 2, river is mostly flat water. Motor boat tow across Cochiti lake
Option 2: Ride with Guides and gear on an 11 mile gravel road into Gorge. Relax as Rafts are prepared and gear is loaded. Float 2.5 miles through Scenic class 2 & 3 rapids. Camp is same as described above in option 1. Hike UP steep rocky trail to best Petroglyphs, then back down to camp. Day2o is same as above
